Roma, 25 ago .- The Italian city of Venice from morning presents its XII International Architecture Exhibition, which this year wants to promote contact between architecture and society and, for the first time, is run by a woman architect Kazuyo Sejima Japanese.

Besides the official holdings of each country, Spain has four exhibition proposals from architectural firms, while Mexico has an architect among participants (Javier Sanchez) and Chile is represented by two other architectural projects.
"This exhibition is the opportunity to experience the multiple possibilities of architecture and to account for its plurality of approaches. Each orientation is a function of a different lifestyle," Sejima says on the website of the Biennale.
"Each participant has been invited to manage independently its own exhibition space and offer a personal interpretation of the theme of the exhibition," he adds.
The delivery will take place Saturday in the awards: the Golden Lion for best national participation, the Golden Lion for Best Architect / Artist and the Silver Lion for Best Promise of Architectureas well as the Golden Lion Lifetime Achievement, awarded to the Dutchman Rem Koolhaas, Pritzker Prize in 2000.
